...as you may know, is a black and white movie. However, it was shot using colour stock and apparently one of the reasons is that the financiers wish to have the option of releasing it in colour when it comes out on video... "This will be a *******ised version" saith one of the brothers.

Get ready for another petition folks!

Oh yeah I know, I've seen the trailer for it already, promises to be a "thinking man's movie", very intriguing.
I'm sure they'll release both versions on DVD, either in one set or two separate ones, if they're gona add the color back.

Billy Bob Thornton is excellent as a paranoid sensitive robber in Bandits this week with Bruce Willis and beautiful & talented Cate Blanchett, there is an awesome scene where she sings in the kitchen to the "I'm holding out for a Hero" song... just so mesmerizing, and the ending is one of those twisty unconventional but mildly predictable anyway, I loved it... uhh.. this was about The Man Who... right ok, sleep sleep

I wouldn't worry to much about it turning up in colour because all new Black and white films are shot in colour then turned into B&W simply because no film labs can process B&W anymore.

Ed Wood and Schindlers List were also both shot on Colour film.

There's an interview with one of the Coen's about this over at the Gaurdians website.
