Don't know if'm in the right forum bit for this question, but here goes anyway.

Why are there so few Superbit titles (Region 2)?

And has Gladiator been pulled as a Superbit. I decided to get it the other day and no one has stock, even though many seem to be advertising it?

Superbit is copyright to Columbia Tristar so no other distributor can release titles under that banner.

Yes I think it has, but some shops may still have stock. Failing that you can still buy the French Superbit. On the other hand the R2 2-disc non-superbit set has nearly as good sound/picture and can be picked up quite cheaply from most places.
