Can anyone help me chose my next HKL disc out of the above please.

I haven't seen 2000ad, but Purple Storm is a great transfer of a good movie... the HKL team have done a bang-up job on it.

However, if you've never seen Eastern Condors, you should definitely grab it asap. In movie terms alone, its a jaw-dropper... guns, fists, explosions and Sammo and Yuen going full on against all the usual HK suspects. LOVE IT! :D

Eastern Condors!

unless u prefer a modern day gunplay/thriller with almost no Martial arts. Purple Storm is good, and is brilliantly transferred to this DVD.

While 2000ad and Purple Storm are both top pieces of entertainment,Eastern Condors is one of the finest Hong Kong Movies ever made!!
Dont even think about it,just buy it!!

Eastern Condors has bugger all extras, so picking it up while it's £10 sounds like the best option!!
It also has the Sammo & Yuen Biao in it!!! (Surely reason alone to buy it?)

just read that sammo is trying to get the original cast back together for interviews, does that means Eastern Conders could be go Platinum ?.

Just be aware that the HKL R2 disc is cut, for this reason I went with the R0 Megastar version of this DVD

Eastern Condors R0 Mega Star is uncut. However, bear in mind that the cut was minimal and required by UK law as it saw a snake (real) being killed. It is barely noticeable and doesn't make any difference to the film. All action is intact.

Id choose the R2 because the extra features far outweigh the minor cut.

Im aware of the cut & I'd prefer to have the cut version anyway coz Im very much against animal cruelty.

I think the decision is made, but to make it even easier i'd suggest Eastern Condors (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=Review&id=170&story=1878) also....

but do bare in mind it is quite unlike any other Sammo movie that I have seen and on first viewing I wasn't all that impressed but once I realised what i had been watching (and got over the fact its not a non-stop martial arts movie) its become a firm favourite of mine...and of course Yuen Biao is a genius! really do wish the 3 brothers would get back together and make some movies again....

make sure you see the others though, Purple Storm (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=Review&id=40) is excellent although maybe a little long, while 2000AD (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/index.cgi?page=Review&id=269&story=2154) works as a fun summer type movie and has its fair share of babes and action :D

Both Eastern Condors and Purple Storm are excellent, so buy both!
