Bought this today (region 2) and thus far it's crashed my player 4 times after pixelating to hell.

I've heard bad things about tarten dvds in the past, so is this pretty normal for a tarten release, is it just secretary that's screwed or do I just have a faulty disk?

I have no problems with this disk. It looks like you may have a duff copy. Tartan's recent output has (mostly) been of a good quality (although I wouldn't describe any of it as spectacular).

Yep their release of Secretary is a step in the right direction for Tartan and I had no problems with my copy.

must just be a duff disk

or the stupid way that sainsbury stores them in those cardboard sleeves scratching them to death, will take it back to swap tomorrow

Tesco store them like that as well. I bought Predator: SE from them a while ago and just as i got in the car i checked the discs and they had scratches.

I took them back and they swapped them, literally. They just put the scratched ones back into the sleeves and put them back. :cuckoo:

Asda did the same with my scratched High fidelity.

chance are the next guy won't mind and they have a sale . otherwise they need to send it back and that is more annoying for them.

The day Tartan use DVD-9 (Shiri being the exception to the rule) then they will have no complaints from me.

All their other problems they've now fixed:

* cinema sourced prints
* burnt in subtitles
* DD2.0 Stereo sound
* minimal extras (okay this one is bad sometimes)
