I recently bought a desk but it has come without the holes and plastic inserts that you pass all your cables through. As such, I have wires going all over the back of the desk right now which looks:gag: . I'm willing to drill a hole, but before I do, want to know if I can get the plastic bits to "finish off" the hole that will be left...Can't seem to find them anywhere.
Any help will as always be very gratefully received.

Ikea - look in the office/desk section - they have cablehole cutters and the plastic bits to make it all look good afterwards.

Numpty, just checked online and couldn't find what you described (which sound perfect btw), any chance of either a link or the product name at all? Any help gratefully received as always. Thanks again for looking in.
Cheers...Flyer

Hi Flyer - they are probably not on the website as they're only a couple of quid. Can't remember what they are called but they should be in the office furniture section, probably beside Ikea's cable tidy sleeves which are called "Montera"

You can get them in two different sizes. The larger, more useful one has an internal diameter of about 60mm.

Ikea do hand operated cutters for making the holes in thin mdf/hardboard but if you are going to cut holes in thicker wood then you should get a holesaw for use with a drill. Something similar to this http://www.machinemart.co.uk/product.asp?p=040212308&r=2199&g=115

Good luck
