With so many films nowadays having sequels and prequels, which is your fave?
Mine as to be....
The 'ALIEN' series.
Was always a big fan of 'Aliens' on vhs(cough), but since i got the 'Alien Legacy' boxset last year i've found i've watched 'em all probably more than any other DVD i own, with the original 'Alien' being my choice pick.
BTW the View Askewniverse deserves a B I G mention also. :p
Oh, and how could i forget to mention the National Lampoon's Vacation series (including 'Vegas Vacation'), Clark Griswold is sooooooo funny! :D

The Godfather trilogy, if it counts.

1) Back To The Future - utter brilliance.
2) Alien Legacy - Fantastic trilogy let down by one of the worst films ever to be made.
3) Indiana Jones - Better than Star Wars - this is the ultimate adventure trilogy.
4) Star Wars - Great fun, great entertainment.
5) Kevin Smith's View Askew Universe - not there just to humour Bob, these are great fun, very funny and exceptionally rewatchable.
6) The Godfather - Part 2 is the best IMHO
7) Scream - Loved Scream 1 and 2.
Preferences: (In order, fave to least fave)
1) BTTF 1, BTTF 3, BTTF 2
2) Aliens, Alien, Alien 3, Alien 4
3) Indy 1, Indy 3, Indy 2
4) Empire Strikes Back, A New Hope, Return of the Jedi
5) Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Clerks, Dogma
I hope I'm allowed to include trilogies in the 'series' bracket?

Another vote for Aliens seires, in order:
Aliens, Alien Resurrection, Alien, Alien 3
Robocop! in order:
Robocop 3 is the best, then Robocop 1 and 2, and then Prime Directives, havent seen them completely yet.
Mad Max!
Road Warrior, Mad Max & Beyond Thunderdome
The "Harrison Ford" series, including Star Wars' Han Solo, Indy, Jack Ryan, and pretty much any movie with him!
The Omen quadrilogy is also excellent, one of the first movies I've ever seen, which made me the unconventional ******* I am today (yes I really wished I had those 666 on my forehead, asked my mom to find them numerous times)
Omen III, with Sam Neil, being the best of all 4.
Lethal Weapon quadrilogy.
Rocky and Rambo movies are all good too.
Highlander started to suck after the first 10 mins of the first sequel, where they built a shield to protect the earth from burning sun after ozone layer was gone, which was an excellent beginning.
Im amazed nobody has mentioned the Die Hard trilogy, three of the finest action films ever made!!
Also, love the Alien films, pure class
And Lenny you think Robocop 3 is better than robocop 1 ?
NURSE! :D
The Exorcist Trilogy, if only because each director was allowed to, mostly, go their own way, for better or worse. Like E2TH or hate it, there's no doubt that every frame is pure John Boorman. I would like to see Blatty's original cut however of Part 3. His original screenplay is excellent.
The two "French Connection" films deserve a mention too as does the Bond series.

All 4 Psycho movies weren't bad either ... or was that 5 psycho movies with one straight to video?
I also loved the Pink Panther series when I was kid.
The Alien series and RoboCop series are my favourite.
Though I think they should let the director of Alien5 do what he wants and create a decent film, not a "bang bang" sort of a film. It should then end there. But somehow, I don't think that will happen.
But that means selling my Alien Legacy boxset.

Well, there are a couple of subjects and sequences in particular that make it better for me than other 2:
The opening scene where they haul people off in the trucks and busses to kill off like the Nazis, so that they could clear the area for new Delta City, which I believe will be finally built in Prime Directives mini-series.
Second one is when OCP comes to get underpaid cops to help them, and abuse and humiliate the captain, etc, and he just takes off his badge and throws it to OCP CEO's feet and walks off, and so do the rest of the policemen, a nice powerful scene.
And overall feeling of the whole third part is pretty depressing and rebellious, thats why I love it more than others.
Also, I must add that I like "cheesy" and campy movies, like Circuitry Man I & II, Cyborg II, Virtuosity & Snake Plissken movies.
The first is best, the second is pretty good because I love the bit where Duffy is being beaten in the slot machine and "You're a rotten cop.", and the third one is OK.
I have seen the RoboCop TV show. It looks pretty poor to me. No violence. It's too TV-friendly - and not fun.
What about the "Fincher" series: Alien 3; Se7en; The Game & Fight Club...

Yeah I know, they just put away with all the violence, I don't think RoboWussy ever kills anyone the whole season.
He's the "peaceful" cop...psssst, that's exactly what the original Verhoeven picture made fun of!
But, the writers/producers of Prime Directives assured their fans through their website that the mini-series is a "return to true form" and that it will be violent and sarcastic and as good as the movies, not the crappy TV show!

I'd agree with most choices so far :)
I'd pick:
Back to the future movies
Alien movies
Star Wars movies
Die Hard has to be my pick, they're all great but the original is still the best.
Robocop 3 better than 1!!! Have you even seen them?
