Has anyone seen the new sharp widescreen and given it a good testing ?. Sharps previous JW series was fairly impressive and I'd be interested to see if their new sets improve on it at all.

Sharp don't make CRT sets anymore in europe. The spanish plant has gone over to LCD tv production and newer CRT models will be bought in from companies like Vestel in Turkey. I haven't seen the new set but I bet it will look very similar to some of the Goodmans or Bush models that are also bought in from Turkey. I have seen a description though and it had 2 scarts which is a downgrade from existing/current models and again would indicate more budget origins.
