Well after all the extreme negative critism this film received I decided to give it a go regardless, expecting little.

I was pleasantly surprised. Whilst im not claiming it to be my best comedy its a pretty good effort - the interogation scene was hilarous for example.

I can only assume it got such bad reviews due to the generation gap of your average film critic and your average stoner - its definately not a film for the older generation I wouldnt have thought.

shibby :D seriously though, i wouldnt consider myself a connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, but I do find that I can appreciate garbage like this as well as the more intelligent offerings around like Amélie.....its not a bad film just tailored for a specific audience.

I rented this myself, but I must confess that I thought it was an insultingly dumb, crazily-plotted mess.

Which I enjoyed immensely! (though I'm shocked I've admitted it in public). The real highlight for me being:-

"And then..."

"NO AND THEN!"

"And then....." (etc etc!).

The commentary is also very funny, with the participants occasionlly leaving to get more beer and the remaning people telling embarassing stories about them while they're gone :D

oh dear

this has to be one of the worst films I have ever seen. The bit at the drive thru was funny for 2 seconds but then went on for what seems like an eternity.

it's siple a very big boil on the arse end of cinema

I'm waiting on the Michael Brooke review before I consider buying/watching this opus of modern cinema :D

Pentasa, rather than wait for the inevitable slating of a movie he has no chance of fully comprehending from our anorak-dvd freind, Brooke, I suggest you go out and buy this movie. As I hinted in my initial post, this film is not one for the older generation - in fact I can probably see how many older people will think this film is so dire. Lets put it this way - if you are at university atm chances are you will probably relate to this movie in a few ways :)

and then? :D

Yep, big thumbs up to this movie too - really made me chuckle all the way through.

This is not the greatest , best, funniest film etc... but it is better than a lot of slop out there. I gave it a chance and was pleasantly suprised.

Don't expect too much and you might well enjoy this too.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand then...:D

I'd bet good money that a forthcoming review of Dude where's my Car by Michael Brooke is anything but "inevitable". :) And I think that's the point that Pentasa was making.

I'm the same age as Mr Brooke

I thought that was Brent Spiner - but interestingly I couldn't find his name on the credits at the end....
