Lo all,

In case you haven't noticed, noone is shipping the Widescreen version of Cats & Dogs which was due out a few days ago. The Pan & Scan came out though.

I called Future Entertainment and was told that it is part of Warner's stupid idea that Pan & Scan is what people want, so they pulled the widescreen at the last moment so P+S sales increase.

Their excuse to Future Entertainment was "We pulled the release of Cats & Dogs Widescreen because we wanted to add more features to the disc. It will be released sometime soon".

Now, if you look at Willy Wonka and some other of their 'kids' films, they are P&S.

Could Warner REALLY be trying to get P&S as the standard for kids films?

The situation does seem to be a bit confusing.

Having a look over on HTF there are some people that have found/received copies, whilst the majority of people are unable to find it.

However, doesn't help me as Play247 are showing that they haven't received any stock yet :(

It also doesn't help that one of the biggest DVD site Amazon, don't even have the letterbox version of C&D listed :eek:

Well if Warner don't release the widescreen version, I can assure them, that I won't be buying the pan & scam version.

Warner execs, just shove the pan & scam versions where the sun don't shine, and do the rest of the world the a favour.

Just had confirmation today from DVD Box Office that the widescreen version has been shipped!!!

just to add, i recieved my widescreen copy of cats and dogs yesterday from ********* :D
