Best sky digital receiver???

I have an amstrad receiver at the moment, sometimes you can't see whats on now and next, also it doesn't work properly with my E-Pilot.

So, what Sky receiver is the best to buy 2nd hand oiff ebay etc...
It must be able to work with E-Pilot.
Do they all do the same job, or do some have different features?

I have looked at Panasonic, not sure what they are like though.


Also, can I sell my amstrad receiver, had this for 3 yrs now.

What is this box like, do I need Sky+ subsciption.

The Sky+ box is OK but not as quick as my old Pannisonic was. I do get the occasional now and next problem as well with it though. Sky+ subscription charge is waived if you are subscribed to two premium channels. However you do need a second feed to the Sky+ box from the minidish to use Sky+, usually a new LNB and cable run is required. And you will probably have to go onto a new 12 month contract - so it may end up cheaper if you get it from Sky for £199 + £1 installation (if that online offer is still runnning).

If you do not want Sky+ you *may* be able to use it as a standard digibox without sky+ functionality but I am not 100%. To be honest I am sure there are better standard digiboxes out there if you don't want Sky+, but I am a bit out of date as to what the new boxes are like.
