I thought I'd give this a bump seen as though it's out in America from tommorow. Has this shipped yet for any of you guys? I'm still waiting for dvdboxoffice to send it, but I guess it won't be until tommorow at the earliest. I must say that I can't wait to get my hands on it. :)

Edge gave this 8/10 in the latest issue, from the review it sounds like a decent game.

this is a game im thinkign of trying, but its different, should i spend that much money on it ?

can you get demos for GC ?

camaj
19-03-2004, 18:49
There's on magazine that does demo's I think. NGC do sometimes but I can't remeber what's on them.

Reading through the Edge review it seems that the game is very similar to Animal Crossing in pace.

Basically it's a self contained universe. A game with no real aim but just to be part of that universe.

I would think it will garner the same views as AC did in that you either love it or hate it.

You don't have a cube? Get one for this and the many other fantastic titles you're missing out on.

Mr Stanton has spent a few hours down the farm last night with Harvest Moon. Tis a top game. Basicly it's like Animal Crossing but with SEX :norty: It also features much better graphics and much more to do than AC.

Now Mr Stanton is off to give my cow a hug and then i'm going to try a pull the cute red head. Muffy's much to easy...

Um I'm really not missing out on that much :p

Ono

Yeah, the whole trying to pull a bird and having kids thing appeals to me.

Think I'll try and shag as many birds as possible and get them all ploughing the fields for me - though I doubt Nintendo will allow it :D

They don't.

But you can hug lots of sheep, stroke puppys and choke chickens...

Nah I'm not, I've had two Cubes before and was dissapointed both times, one UK and on US. Good at first but novelty wore off after a few weeks.

Farm looks top though, although I think I'll wait to see if people get bored with it after a few weeks like with Animal Crossing.

This looks like the Ideal easter pressie for the GF (No eggs as shes on a diet) and as was mentioned above, can get a GBA SP for myself too....so that she can link em obviously :norty:

Saw it on the shelf at GAME in town today.

Resurrecting this thread to ask...

Is there much difference between the GC game and GBA HM:Friends of Mineral Town.

Was thinking of getting the GC game for my wife, as she loved AC. But we already have the GBA game which she has played loads - if it's the same gameplay just with better graphics I'm not sure she would play it.

KeyserSoze

i think the GBA version is never ending. The GC gametime is limited and you follow a storyline of the main dudes life.

Got this game today after my mate showed it to me, quite impressed with it so far, it's my first harvest moon game and having only just gotten round to getting a cube' it's revived my thirst for nintendo console games, i.e gameplay over graphics, not that i'm knocking this games graphics :)

I've just started playing this and it is very enjoyable. Perhaps I will be flamed down but I reckon it's better than Animal Crossing...

I caught a fish this morning and showed it to my dog (Fred) who gave a little bark of approval although I don't think he wanted a bite. After washing Flossie (my cow) and talking to her I picked some flowers and headed off to try and woo one of the girls, but no luck just yet. They're a fickle bunch in Forget-Me-Not Valley.

:D

How do you go about selling fruit and vegtables? everyone seems to want to take them off my hands for free... the freeloaders!!

White Line
26-05-2004, 11:30
You can sell them to Van the travelling salesman. If he's not there you can set up your own shop under the tree and whistle to passers-by who might buy some. They'll try to buy anything in your inventory though so watch what you sell them.

Thanks... I'm thinking about starting again and concentrating on building a dairy empire and forgetting about the produce altogether (too much like hard work)
