Jerry Maguire - Special Edition???

I noticed an SE of this great, great movie at DV-Depot - due for release December 4th. Does anyone have the inside info on this release?

I have the Region 2, but would like to know if this supercedes that in any way......

Yeah the JM special edition has been mentioned on and off for nearly a year now.

If you visit the the BBFC website you will see that they have already passed this:

JERRY MAGUIRE - DVD SUPPLEMENTAL MATERIALS - Hidden features, Behind the scenes.

It has a running time of 5.38 mins.

BBFC are also listing:-

this runs 3.37 mins, and sounds like a profile of the real guy.

However being a Columbia Tristar effort, I would also expect at least to see a commentary by Cameron Crowe added and probably more.

hmm, a little over 9 minutes of extra features is hardly brethtaking, although DV-Depot's page does say extra's TBA, so maybe there will be more...

The BBFC's will obviously be the R2, whereas the one I meant (on DV-Depot's page) is the R1 - I didn't even consider there being a new R2!

The other great thing about it being a Columbia disc, is that they make an effort to include exactly the same features on both their region 1 + 2 releases.

I would normally choose region 2 for Columbia titles as you get the additional benefit of better PAL picture quality. However as there doesn't seem to be a release date announced for region 2 yet, I hope it won't be too long, otherwise it will be another purchase from region 1 land (or Play247 as I call it :D )
