View Full Version : Bottom TV Series
Does anyone know then the three Bottom Series will be released on disc. Us die hard Bottom fans only have the 4 live shows and Guest House Paradiso on disc and we want what started it all.
I have all 3 series on vid but want them on DVD.
Ragnar do not reply!:D
I haven't heard anything of a Bottom series on DVD. I know about the four live shows and Guest House Paradiso (I own that DVD), but nothing of the series.
I suspect they would be quite poor quality picture anyway. If it did come out I think what we would get in the end would be rather poor.

Well if thats your attitude, I won't:p
Well, so far, the beeb have been pretty good getting some of their stuff out, imho - Blackadder, Fawlty Towers, The Planets etc.. so i shouldn't think we'll have to wait long for Bottom.
The quality may not be Gladiator, but it'll most probably be better than vhs.
Grrrr... you mentioned the demon... grrr.
yeah Bottom will be pretty cool, but I would be more excited about releases of both series of The Young Ones (so my worn out VHS can finally be retired!) and PLEASE BBC, A DECENT RELEASE OF THE MOST GENIUS OF COMEDY SHOWS, FILTHY RICH AND CATFLAP.....!!!
I've got the VHS of the latter and a couple of the episodes are cut to ribbons - it seems during Richie's poor renditions of certain songs which makes me think it was a copyright/rights issue, which is strange. It was simply superb and I want a decent, uncut DVD of it please....!

Classic ... one of the only Comic Strip vids I ever bought. Take out Nicholas Parsons, indeed :)
I want BBC to put their bottom in my dvd player too.

MR JOLLY LIVES NEXT DOOR, WOW
My fave ever thing thats been on the telly
'Which way to the BBC you ol' git'
'That way Guv and turn right'
'Thank you and have a nice day'
Classic
'What barmy fluid, I'll have some of that'
'This is England Eddie, England, not Birmingham'
:D
F, R & C has to be my all-time favourite comedy show. I think it may be because it seems to have been brushed under the carpet and whenever it's seen it's more fresh and original than most other classics that we are almost constantly fed. I love stuff like Fawlty Towers et al, and don't get me wrong, I would never criticise it in anyway - I love it - but as it is on a whole lot more, it just isn't as fresh as those we see once every so often......
I've never emailed the Beeb about a possible DVD release (we have to let them know we love F, R & C), so who do you people write to on this sort of subject? I don't wanna see another petition, but a nice enquiry to the Beeb from a number of people might make them realise there is a lot of fans out there who want to see it part of their DVD releases.....
I want Sunnyside Farm too. Really enjoyed that series.
But im just weird like that.

You might like to know that Bottom are touring at the moment. They had an ad in this months VIZ. I've not looked but it could also be in the Guardian as they have listings of theatres. Go A squad.
