Seeing as those titles have not been out for very long, it would be a real shocker if they were being reissued.

They will both be re-released, whether or not they will be 2-disc platinums depend on how much extra footage HKLs have.
Hitman is confirmed for re-release as a Platnium issue & the strong sales of game of death will almost certainly lead to more.

Will Legend of a Fighter get the Platinum treatment too?

I was informed that due to the lack of additional extras on SITES and DM, they definitely will not be getting Platinum releases.

A basic re-release upgrading the soundtrack to cantonese and the picture to 2.35:1 instead of 1.85 may possibly take place. It is Unconfirmed - so don't rely on it.

In the meantime they have a hectic schedule so many titles take priority.

Legend of a fighter is even less likely due to the source materials being virtually destroyed. New soundtrack was constructed for many scenes, and the film's previous demand does not bode well for re-release.

Drunken Master and Snake have been out for over 1 and a half years. They were HKL market tester discs (also they were released before HKL had HK contacts)

It is unconfirmed but a number of people who are close to HKL have dropped very unsutle hints. So it will happen, obviously it wont be officially confirmed until as late as possible to prevent people skipping the original release's.
There's very little or no chance of a Legend of a Fighter re-issue though, it just isnt profitable enough to make it worthwhile, unlike the 2 Chan movies.

hmmm...

my understanding is this.

HKL WILL be releasing THREE Platinum editions in 2002. They WILL NOT include Snake or Drunken (whether they get rereleased in OAR+Cantonese is another matter).

The three titles must come from HKL's 2002 release schedule, which has been published in various places.

A thread on which 3 will get released as platinum is on the bulletsnbabesdvds forum.

The common consensus is that Zu Warriors and Naked Killer will be 2... with no idea what the third might be...

That would explain why Play247 were selling them cheap this month, which would also be a bit of a bummer because I took them up on that offer and replaced my vhs copies.
