Not a bad ep, nothing particularly outstanding though. I thought the flashback scene of Joey's date was pretty funny though :)

That ep was proper funny. Again they give all the best gags to Joey building up his character for the spin-off.
"JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!"
and the
"Excuse me Sir, the appears to be some red crap on my cheesecake".
LMAO at Rosses sweater.
Some funny moments there, especially Joey
Can someone tell me what happened at the end (after the credits piece)? My PVR cut the end off when it changed channel to record CSI :|

Ross and Joey in coffee shop.
Ross: Turns out this sweater is made for a woman.
Joey: So why you still wearing it?
Ross: Because it's so soft.
Ross takes a piece of Joey's Muffin.
Joey: JOEY DOESN'T SHARE FOOD!
Funny episode I thought. Joey was great.
"Stupid GAP on every corner!"

They should rename this series 'Joey' already...

Agree, but I think its pretty obvious that they are giving him the best lines to push the new standalone show :|

fairly poor ep in general, but it did have the one genuinely laugh-out-loud moment of the whole season
Joey "I'm not even sorry!"
was it worth making the rest of the season for that one good joke? no :|
Yep another poor episode, I don't know if they've stopped paying the writers because the "jokes" aren't funny :|
I spotted that it was Anna Farris though! She looked a lot older than normal.

I thought Joey's date was great. When he ate her cake and said 'Im not even sorry.'
Ross is funny too but the Chandler.Monica stuff is rubbish.
Watching older series makes me realise how much Chandler has been ruined. He used to be the best

Haven't really been a fan of this series so far but thought this particular one was good. However, like most of you have commented on only really for Joey's lines.
Question about Phoebe and her love life...
What happened with Mike? I can't remember - are they still together/engaged?
Good episode, Joey had the best lines.
Agree Chandler is a shadow of his previous self though.

yes and in a recent episode they were deciding whether to spend all their money on a big wedding or to give it to the local childrens charity - with hilarious results

Yeah I remember that - nothing happened since then?
Does anyone actually find Phoebe funny then? :|

OK, spoilerage ahead:
There's definitely going to be a wedding - a friend sent a video of an appearance a singer I like made on NBC last week and there was a big, spoilertastic advert for the rest of the season.
It had fairly strong hints that Ross & Rachel were going to get back together, too.

I've seen this too, but as its an advert they could lead you to believe anything... :) (although the first part is true)..
Also, just read this:
The cast of hit show Friends have been given a record breaking $2 million each to make a reunion special that takes place one year after the program's finale. In the special, viewers will see the New York sixsome come together for Thanksgiving dinner, which will be screened in conjunction with the holiday in America during November
So its not then end really, this could be a really good special I think

Presumably the special will lead in to "Joey", too?

It was only a couple of episodes ago! It usually takes a whole season just for a relationship to start :)

Joey would have been on for a few weeks by then so no. Also it's been denied by the producers already. What's the point of a reunion so soon? :cuckoo:
there were hints about R&R getting back together in this ep but I can't remember what they were. I know I though they were setting it up though

Crap episode. Can't believe people thought it was funny. Go back and watch a few episodes from Season 2 to remind yourself of how funny Friends used to be.
If this was a new sitcom just starting, it wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Agreed, I can't believe people think it's that good. It's average at best
this episode was ok, series 2 and 3 rock though.

Nope. They should have killed her off ages ago.

well just seen this, it was, just okay.
The funniest thing was Ross's top, he must have known, he is not stupid and the girl must have spotted it when she arrived. But perhaps this is the R&R hints, ie by accident Rachel ruined his date.
The monica/chandler stuff was nice, but not really funny, more the stuff of movies of the week. What about that real life reverant and doctor??
Agree that its the early stuff that was funny, now its all a bit too serious and the Joey stuff is a bit too childish, he is a man in his 30s now.

Absolutely appalled by this series :( I've loved Friends in the past and it was still bearable when the quality dipped in seasons 7&8, but this season has been awful. The characters all seem like caricatures of who they used to be, in some desperate attempt to squeeze some final laughs out of them. What's with them all continually shouting their punchlines as well? Is that supposed to make it funnier? It would help if the punchlines were funny or if you didn't see them coming a mile off. I've had the odd chuckle in each episode, but if it hadn't been for the previous 9 seasons and wanting to see how it ended, I'd have given up weeks ago.
Oh and as for Ross wearing Rachel's top. When was the last time anyone saw Rachel wearing a top that wasn't tight-fitting? :norty: Amazing how it was a lovely loose fit on Ross. :suspect:
I have to admit Monica is really winding me up in this season. If she gets any louder she'll burst eardrums!
Saw Joey's last line coming but I still laughed out loud at it
Watched this yesterday and think its not the best, but still watchable if you dont think about it too much - Monica and Chandler lying about who they were to get a baby, Joey acting like he does (i think he's one of these people who is gonna be a big kid all his life), the food sharing thing was funny but surely having known him for 10 years now, this would have been found this out before now?
I think a new set of characters in a spin-off with provide a freshness and may help to come up with more really funny situations rather than some of the more ridiculous ones that seem to be happening these days on the show.

I thought this was a very good episode. Made me laugh numerous times, and the part right at the end with Monica and Chandler was beautiful.
But on watching loads of repeats of the older series on CH4 in the mornings and E4 in the evenings, it really isn't as good as it used to be. :|

The whole thing ended for me when Chandler moved out of the appartment with Joey. :(
It's been living on past glories since then.

Nooooo. I love Phoebe. She is still my favourite character, followed closely by Joey.
Agreed that Friends has definitely gone downhill as it has got older - predictable and very childish in places, but it's supposed to be light entertainment.
Besides, how can you hate Phoebe - she's had some quality lines in the past - and her attitude has always made me laugh. Even though she has been sidelined a little as the series have gone on.
Also, is it me, or everytime there's an episode with flashbacks, do you not think hmmm, thats a way of the producers saving $x's on paying the cast!?!

I think it's just you, since the cast get paid per episode.

sometimes the flashback shows are good, such as the one where ross posts the wedding invite to rachel and they remember the good and bad times.
The other i remember was joey and chandlers friendhsip one, have their been others? ignoring the thanksgiving ones, as they were newly filmed stuff.

Yeah, but it may be per episode they actually have to star in - as in if there are 24 eps in a series, and 1 is a flash back, they get paid for 23?
I don't like flash backs really, they leave me feeling cheated!
