Hitchcock's "Mr. And Mrs. Smith" is available in France. Anybody any info on this disc - picture quality, can subs be turned off?

Also, on 22/11, "Suspicion" will be released as a special edition by Buena Vista in France. Unfortunately it looks like the French subs can not be turned off :(

Don't know about picture quality, but Mr. And Mrs. Smith is from Editions Montparnasse who are usually ok, but not fantastic. i.e. no super-dooper restoration job, but nothing to really complain about.

french subs are removable, as evidenced by this screenshot (http://www.musicbox.fr/musicbox/images/dvd/images/0008155_05.jpg)

Suspicion is also from Editions Montparnasse (through Buena Vista), so I don't see why the subs won't be removable. What makes you think they won't be?

Because at Cinestore it says for "sous-titre": Français, obligatoires avec la VO.

I hope they are wrong.

Thanks for the info on Mr. & Mrs. Smith. In the shopping cart it goes :)
