I'd appreciate any thoughts people might have on solving a problem I have with this Panasonic eWear device:

Basically the AV30 is only available for sale in the US - it provides a cradle over and above the AV20, which allows the device to be hooked up to the TV both for playback and recording.
This is fine in theory but clearly there is the slight problem of NTSC vs PAL. Playback is fine on my TVs as they have the ability to deal with an NTSC signal. The same is not true in reverse though, as the AV30 can't deal with PAL. I've tried the unit with a selection of TVs, Freeview box, video and DVD player - the DVD player was the only success as it's a US player. However, even then the recording was prohibited by the macrovision security :brickwall
Does anyone have a quick, easy, neat (and preferably cheap!) solution of working around this? I've seen NTSC to PAL convertors available on the internet fairly cheap, whereas the PAL to NTSC are rather less so...
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
Cheers
Nick
