Am I the only person in the world that thinks John Waters is a genius?!

I certainly think he's a wonderful and unique figure, and I'm collecting all his DVDs to go alongside my much-thumbed copies of Crackpot and Shock Value - but I'm afraid Cecil B DeMented is the most disappointing let-down I've had in a cinema in years.

For a more detailed slagging-off, see my review!

The thing is, while Cecil B. Demented is disappointing for a John Waters film, it's still streets ahead of most American (or otherwise) comedies.

I like it.

My thoughts exactly.

To expand on my earlier, rather short, comment. I thought Cecil B. was an enjoyable enough comedy that didn't really warrant a a second viewing. I traded my copy on but not before I listend to the truely excellent commentary which made the film seem much bettre than it actually was.

Cecil B. certainly isn't one of Waters' best works, but like people are saying -it's much better than 100 Scary Movies or the entire works of Eddie Murphy!

BTW, what are the chance of ever seeing Multiple Maniacs or Cry Baby on DVD? ...and how can I redeem my "free Waters DVD" voucher in the UK?
