I should imagine the company and disc producers keeps the few highest and lowest numbers for posterity, or simply because they can.

My Omen Trilogy Box Set Limited Edit is number 07450, but some lucky person somewhere will have number 00666!

Other than that, my Manhunter Limited Edit, is number 41947 out of 100,000. Although I would hardly call 100,000 that limited! :D

This one has certainly come alive!

What I want to see next is two people with the same number!!!

That would truly explode the limited edition industry.

000024/? on 'The Untouchables', since it's only limited packaging (not a limited DVD) dunno if that counts. Otherwise 000894/50000 (I think) for the Wicker Man:LE.

Highest I've seen is on a video set (I think still in WHSmith on the Strand) for The Doctor Who Davros boxset collection, number 9999/10000.

Star Trek IV No 00039 (seems a low number, unless they only made 40)

I'm here in the States, and generally, if you preorder numbered editions from online stores, you get an unexciting number. If you buy on day of release from B&M stores, you do much better!

My lowest number is 53 - for Nekromantik. Mind you, maybe they sold 54
