Loss of picture on Pioneer DV626D

Can some one gve a bit of advise on this problem. Tried to watch my series one Phoenix nights last night, but the picture kept going and would only come back if the player was switched off and back on again.

I also tried it with a number of other discs of all regions and expreienced the same thing.

All connections seem to be ok, scart to JVC tv.

Would it be anyhting to do with the lens in the player?

Hmm. THis sounds familiar to my pioneer dv99 I bought today. Just watched R1 of Two Towers EE using a scart lead and for a second the picture went so i thought it was the layer change. Then on the second disk the picture went completly. :mad:

I changed to the yellow cable and had no more problems. :suspect:
