Quick David Bowie question

I thought I heard ages ago that David Bowie had a glass eye, is that true or total rubbish? There's definitely something funny about his eyes.

As far as i know it's not glass, just a different colour.

Apparently they're different colours as a result of a playground scrap. :dork: So RealOne player tells me anyway...

Bowie was born with blueish eyes. In 1962, he got into a fight with his longtime school friend George Underwood (over George's girlfriend), and a punch from Underwood damaged Bowie's left eye. His pupil was paralyzed, becoming unable to dilate or contract according to the ambient light.

That would explain why it looks like a glass eye.
