I am just about to get a Panasonic PW6 plasma, but am a bit confused about connections.

The screen comes with the composite/component board (the one that takes up slots 1 & 2).

As I understand it, this should mean that I can connect my DVD by the component input, but my questions are:

1. Does this require a RCA - BNC component lead?

2. For a TV signal, I have a VCR and Freeview available - can I connect this via the supplied board, or should I look at getting the optional SCART one as well?

Any help appreciated!

You definitely need the RGB scart board for Freeview and you could use a scart switcher for the VCR into this.

Then again VCRs look pathetic on a Pw6:(

Cheers, Brock.

Thanks for the reply Brock.

I won't use the VCR if I can use Freeview - I only need the TV feed.

Looks as though I will need the SCART board - they seem to be about £130 - does this sound about right?

You can get a scart to BNC convertor can't you? Have a seach on avforums.com in the plasma forum, this sort of question gets asked daily :)
