Hi,
My dad's thinking of getting a dvd player, this is his current setup...
Tv
Freeview Box
VCR
He's using scart leads to connect them all together, but only has one scart socket on his tv and is wondering how he would wire them all up using scarts if he added a dvdplayer
any views/recommendations?

He needs a DVD player with 2 scarts. Then daisychain tv-dvd-freeview-VCR.

Or get the £9.95 scart switcher from argos :)
I have one, rgb on all ports, quality!

i had a jvc scart extension with five sockets on it and when it was loaded with 3 or more scarts the picture quality was terrible.
is this not the same with the scart switcher?
Nope :)
The Argos switcher is great - I put my digibox, dvd, xbox & dreamcast through it and the picture is great - I don't notice any difference in picture with or without it fitted.
Make sure its the one without the cable attached to it (as the one with the cable attached isn't very good ;) )
