Just wondering how many more box sets to expect?

Are they still making the TV series?

Seasons 1-7 David Duchovny's Mulder and Gillian Anderson's Scully.
Season 8 Mulder only appears in half the episodes.
Season 9... no more Mulder.
No Mulder = No X-Files :( for me

So, series 4 coming out this november, then series 5 and 6 in May & November 2002, S7 & 8 in May/Nov 2003 with whatever is left then.
I guess I'll still buy Season 9 and anything else if I'm alive, even though there is no Duchovny. I even went to see that stupid comedy Zoolander 'cause he has a cool cameo in it, plays this paranoid conspiracy theorist, all dirty and unshaven in glasses, long hair looking "spooky" :D

Thank God for small mercys. I thought season 8 was an excellent return to form for TXF. As much as I hate to say it, it seems as though all the legal problems during seasons 6 and 7 really effected Duchovny's attitude to the show, he was fed up and it showed.

I still maintain that the final episode of season 8 was a huge wasted oppertunity, but I have high hopes for series 9 and the development of Agent Doggit.

Gotta agree with Dave L, season 8 was really a return to form.

None of the jokey, tongue-in-cheek episodes, a fresh new aspect to the conspiracy storyline and the arrival of Robert Patrick - actually putting some effort and heart into his performance as hard-nosed cop John Doggett, and demonstrating that Duchovny had been virtually sleepwalking through the series for the last three or four seasons.

Bring on season 9.

Hey nobody said what actually happens to the character of Mulder, we're just talking about Duchovny leaving the show.

BTW, don't tell, I'm on season 2 myself.
