I've just won £20 in gift vouchers for MVC and am looking to get a new- ish release. What does everyone recomend. I recently got Godfather trilogy, Platoon SE and Manhunter.
Any ideas?

Don't like Star Wars that much. The extras look good but not enough to justify me getting it - even if it is free!

I recommend one of the follwing (or two if they are £10):

The Limey - Fantastic Steven Soderbergh film, little known, with Terrance Stamp in at as an ageing gangster. Very good DVD as well in terms of extras and picture.

The Straight Story - Definitely the best film of 1999 (yes it was miles better than American Beauty IMO), and possibly one of the most heart warming movies you'll ever see.

Carlito's Way - Just had to include that coz it is one of my fav films of all time.

American Psycho - coz its funny.

Just realised you were after a newish release, but what the hell, you should have these in your collection anyways.
