Went to see Fleetwood Mac on Wednesday at Earls Court, tickets were £75 each, Stevie Nicks virtually killed most of the hits she sang on and thought that Lindsey Buckingham was very self indulgent, we left after an hour it was that bad. Would be interested in other peoples opinions.

I went to the show in Manchester last week.
I was up in the gods at the back and the sound was awful.
I was in the same place for the Eagles and it was the best sound I have heard at a concert
Buckingham. totally spoiled the show.his Solos we boring and his vocals painful.
His guitar sound stood out so much it was if he was playing over backing tracks
We left after the played So Afraid.I have no idea what they played after that.
I had waited 25 years to see them and I can't never been so disappointed by a major act.
:oh-hum:

At least I got out of the car park easy ,had a Kebab and still home for midnight:)

Yep, same here. Saw them a fortnight ago at Earls Court. They played well, it sounded good, but they were going through the motions and it all seemed so fake. Buckingham was awfully self-indulgent, milking the crowd after every 5-minute guitar solo.

And to anyone lucky enough to leave early - the "highlight" of the encore was a 10minute percussion solo by Mick Fleetwood, who pranced around the stage banging some bongos while shouting "are you still with me?". Sadly, I was still there.....

Or maybe it had something to do with seeing Radiohead there two nights ago? They were awesome...

"self-indulgent" spooky!

Friend of mine works for them and he had to give up a ticket for Chelsea v Man U to go and work for them that day and he told me his opinion of their live performance a week ago:

"The worst group live I've heard all year - so self-indulgent!"

 they must be bad if people are prepared to walk out of the gig after paying £75.

Is that a friend who works for Fleetwood Mac or the venue? If band, gossip please :)

I'm very surprised there's been negative comments. Though I haven't seen them this time round (due to extortionate ticket prices) two of the three times I've seen them live have been the best concerts I've ever been to. Mind you, this was the Billy Burnette/Rick Vito line up (Tango In The Night tour after Buckingham left / Behind The Mask) and Lindsey Buckingham can be very indulgent at times, though I find his playing tastefully economical on record.

My parents went to see em at Earls Court on the Sunday night. They seemed to think they were fantastic.

I saw them at the NEC and I have to say I thought they were great!

Nicks was in great voice and Buckingham was obviously having a great time. Top night!

Maybe they'd run out of large bread before the shows you guys saw and were a bit annoyed?
