Just received the Stranglers Video Collection DVD (2001 issue) from HMV online. Is this disc supposed to contain a booklet or is it really as bare-bones a package as it seems? If so, that's fine, only the case was not shrinkwrapped when it arrived so I'm wondering....

It`s just a bare bones package - There`s only around 1 hours worth of stuff on it too.
The Stranglers Ally Pally gig DVD has a bit more stuff on it but its not them at their best. When will we get a more juicy Stranglers DVD? There`s 25+ years of TV appearances and gig material to go at!!

So no booklet even? :( It seems it was released last year and then reissued in June...still the same?
Just as well I only paid 10 quid for it at the HMV.co.uk sale.

There could be a thin track listing booklet with it now I come to think about it - I`ll check when I get home and let you know.

Cheers la_folie. :)
I've had a chance to watch the thing now, and while the quality and presentation are nothing special, it's not a bad little package for the casual fan...at least for what I paid for it. If I'd paid full whack I'd be a little miffed...especially as it seems to be a straight unadorned transfer of a video compilation released in 1982!

Yeah to be fair its not a bad little DVD - shame there`s not more of it though. And there`s some bloody classics on there. The digital pause comes in handy on Nice 'N Sleazy too!
