Is anyone able to recommend this film and does anyone plan on buying the Criterion disc? I've been mulling over this one for a while now, but I have never seen the film. Any opinions?

Well after watching the truly brilliant Sullivan's Travels and marvelling at the disc Criterion put out (not to mention a hysterically funny clip of The Lady Eve in the accompanying documentary), I couldn't be more excited about recieving the disc!

Thanks Narshty. I've been casting an eye over the Criterion site that you're involved with today: it's really good. I'm thinking about ordering Sullivan's Travels as well as I watched the trailer at IMDB and found it quite amusing.

It's a good time to be a Criterion collector at the moment with Notorious and Rebecca hopefully arriving next week from ********* and 8 1/2 coming next month!

Tell me about it.

I've got heckles up over Haxan, The Ruling Class and The Last Wave (which I've pre-ordered from *********), not to mention the more classic titles (8 1/2, Hitchcocks, Kurosawa) that are also spilling out.

They're working bloody overtime, and all to drain our pockets and frustrate our film libidos!
