Warner Snappers

Hi.

What is the story on this? loads of petitiotns and stuff, so are Warner doing anything about it? Do you think they're ever gonna change R1 and R2 over to nice amaray cases or what? Have thy even made any statement about their terrible cases? !!

the reason Warner have snappers is that they have stake in the comany that manufactures them so they won't change. If you really hate em then go for the R4 which are amarays and normally R2 as well as cheaper/same price

yeh, but are they ALL amaray in R4? I heard that GoodFellas for example is a snapper... what about One Flew Over... ? :) :D

I thjink some initial releases were in snapper cases but future production runs of a title are now in amaray cases, Heat being an example

I don't mind snappers, I have about 50 in my collection at the moment.

and as I have said before just because a title is released in a snapper case won't stop me from buying...

Yeah sure, I buy it for the film as well... but If i'm paying to buy the movie, I expect a decent case which is gonna last a long time and stay in good ondnition... I also like them to look nice on the shelf and snappers aren't even the same size! I have them all on my shelf organised and everything, and I hate snappers.... its my chocie... id dint force you to sign the petition, but are you honestly saying that you would really prefer to buy a snapper than an amaray?

I don't really care how they look on the shelf, what I care about is how they look when I play the dvd.

I was in Comet earlier and I noticed that many Warner titles (including The Devils Advocate) were in Keep Cases... Why? I'm not sure, but it seems that maybe their older titles are being brought to justice:eek::eek::eek:! A la the old Universal "Super" Jewel cases... Lets hope this is the end :)...

I'm happy to say I prefer Snappers to Amarays and I think they look much nicer on my shelf. But, at the end of the day, I buy the film and don't care what package it comes in. I have to say, all the "shakers" I've had have been in Amaray keep-cases.

Snappers are the devils work, 95% of UK snappers come from Aghanistan (or did I dream it?) so hopefully the factory that makes them will be burnt down by the SAS.
