I may be repeating a previous topic but here goes.
Click on the deleted scenes only menu.
Then highlight Doc Menu and press left.
This will highlight a lock.
Press enter and you will be treated to various people stating their favourite clips that were deleted.
This will work on the first two deleted scenes.
My question is that i read that there were outtakes hidden and can i find them. Can i hell.

The outtakes are on the 1st disc. Play title 3 to access them :)

Sorry for being thick - but I'm not really sure what you're on about when you say "play title 3" to access them. How do you access the outtakes?:)

some work must have gone into those out-takes as they feature a fully animated Jar jar.

BTW - have you checked out the french track?

Must use seamless branching as the title card and opening crawl are all in french as well.
For all those people that can't stand Jar Jar Binks, rest assured that he sounds even more annoying in french :D

At least SOME of the Out-takes have to be "manufactured" - especially the Jar-Jar and Yoda ones.

Wonder if the others are faked as well?

BTW - the out-takes are title 15 on the R2 version (to access you can't use the DVD's menu, you have to use the player's controls to manually select title 15 (or 3).

Highlighting the THX logo in the Language Selection menu gives access to the THX Optimizer (not exactly an Easter Egg ,but it ain't an advertised feature either).

There should be some sort of title button which you can press on your dvd player's remote. After pressing this, press '3' (its 3 on the r1 version) and then 'play'. Hope this helps :)

There is also a poster hidden in the poster gallery. When the first poster of Anakin with Darth Vader's shadow is shown, press down to zoom in and then press down again to see the alternative version which isn't shown otherwise. Not too thrilling but it is a hidden eggstra :)

Is the "sneak preview" of Episode 2 that was on the last release of the original trilogy on the disc anywhere? I was expecting at least something about ep 2 but there doesn't seem to be anything, is there anything hidden anywhere?

Yeah, I was hoping for an Ep II trailer tucked away somewhere.

Had a good old search and couldn't find owt though!

About the outtakes easter egg on disc 1:

I was getting very frustrated trying to follow the directions given in this thread. Nothing worked. Title buttons, trying to select titles, etc. It didn't work.

So I went to a website to find how to really access this easter egg.

Go to the language/subtitles menu, and enter 1138 with your remote. there's ALWAYS some kind of reference to "THX 1138" in every Star wars-related thing! You'll probably have to enter it as 10+, 1, 3 and 8. The timing is important, and it may take several failed attempts. But then you'll have it. It is the DVD credits interspersed with outtakes from the film. Most of them are genuine (and seem to involve Artoo falling over), but a few of them are faked animated Jar Jar sequences. The genuine ones are funny, but there's not much humour in watching faked Jar Jar outtakes.
