There are a few TV Series I wouldn't mind getting hold of/seeing...
Conan the Adventurer (US TV Series)
Poltergeist The Legacy
The Lost World (currently on Sci-fi)
Dracula: The Series
Friday the 13th
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea
So has anyone heard if they are due out anytime soon? Or even at all?
Cheers

Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
Just got an e-mail from TV shows on DVD today saying that season one of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century will be out on DVD this year with audio commentary by Gil Gerard and Erin Grey:luv:
This is good news:clap:

Dracula?!?! Was that the one on Nickelodeon?!?! I used to watch that evvvvery week.. doubt it'll see the light of day though (:help:)
But Poltergeist The Legacy is about the only other one that'll interest me :D
VttBotS started a couple of weeks ago on FX, the new sat channel. My PC capture card has somehow managed to record each one so far..... ;)

Did a search on google for BRITTFC on DVD and found a most DUBIOUS site selling DVDR copies of the VHS videos and taped of TV episodes from BBC. Think is he wanted $150 for the 20 DVD set! .. I think I'lll wait for the Official DVD!

.......
Buck Rogers in the 25th Century
1st season was quite watchable - but I am sure it has aged quite badly.
However just forget season 2 (when they went off on some kind space voyage) :gag: :oh-hum:
I must agree though - Erin Gray :notworthy :luv:

The original film is still ok, age wise. But the TV series is very cheap and nasty looking. But who cares? :D:clap:
I hope they include the film version (which is different) as well as the two hour pilot episode (which again is different) in the same set. The theatrical edit is better than the TV edit. Both have different scenes/takes.
I didn't know about different versions of the pilot! Do you know what was released vhs-wise over here? I recently got the whole series on VCD and I've watched the pilot and first few, but I also have an old VHS of the pilot and wondering if it's different?

There is a toned down version and a 15 Certificate pilot. Basically it was too sexy and skimpy clothes on in the pilot to be shown in the afternoon on BBC2

Basically the Film version had scenes that tie up loose ends whilst the TV version has different scenes that lead into the TV series. The main point is that the film version at the end implies that Buck and Wilma like each other and she wants to 'prove it to him'. This scene is cut from the TV version. The TV version also has a tagged on ending where Huer and Wilma ask Buck to become a Spy for them.
Also throughout the film there are different scenes, like Buck being shown his living quarters in the TV version, but not the film version. There's also a scene in the film version where Draco the conquerer appears at the end after his fleet has been destroyed and reprimands Cain, this is not in the TV version. I'm sure there's a couple more bits, but I can't recall off hand. Also, the film version has a couple of swearwords, the TV version doesn't.

All I remember of the second series was a tall obvously RC toy robot that would extend it's neck indignantly and put it's hands on it's hips.. about all it COULD do really! Wasn't it Tweeky's son or something pants like that??
As for Erin Gray.. Another vote ! Lip gloss and Lycra! :luv: :luv: :notworthy

I'm capping to Divx then cutting the ads out when I'm home for lunch. Haven't missed one yet, and can always catch the omnibus at the weekend if I do. Can't wait for the colour one's starting with season two!
