View Full Version : Two Towers R1 Menu Problem
I've just tried out my Two Towers EE R1 from DVDSoon. The film discs play perfectly, but I can't get either of the extras discs to load.
My ageing LG just seems to get stuck in a loop switching between Titles 1 & 2. Has anyone else had this problem with an LG or any other make?
I've got an ever growing list of titles that my player struggles with the menus, but this is the first that doesn't seem to have a workaround.

I get exactly the same thing on my Aiwa 370 (which is based on an old LG player, iirc.)
It's very annoying, but at least the main disks work, and the extras play on my laptop's DVD drive.
It might be time to upgrade my Aiwa to something else, though:(
Plays fine on my £75 tosh 330. Time for you to buy a new DVD player methinks !
well there shouldn't be any doubt if you ca get the Tosh 330 that cheap.
or get a firmware upgrade from aiwa/LG

Plays fine on my trusty old Samsung 709, as well as my newer dirt cheap CyberHome second player.
Documentary discs of my R3-version of The Two Towers won't work either on my LG 4830. :suspect:
I have the R2 and disks 3 and 4 play fine on my AIWA 370... don't knock the AIWA being old... I had 2 x Tosh 330 from amazon and I would say the AIWA beat it with picture quality (especially on R1)...
I had skipping problems with both 330's - see thread here

gave up in the end... went back to AIWA - which generally is OK and most discs..
None of the discscin the set work on my LG 3200E. Guess it upgrade tome
