AICN recently said that all known film sources for Near Dark had been destroyed, so I wonder where AB have sourced theirs?

One sentence summary...
A Kathryn Bigelow vampire film shot just before she became Mrs Cameron starring just about all the actors he normally uses.

Exactly what point are you trying to make Hendrik?
jonathan.e: "Exactly what point are you trying to make Hendrik?"
...the point I'm trying to make is, simply, that a categorical opinion
such as "Near Dark is 1 of the best vampire films ever made." is not necessarily shared by all, not even by fans of the genre...
http://zombie.dreamhost.com/reviews/neardark.html
(...also, invoking a/the Deity when referring to what is, after all, only a movie, is silly at best...)

Hendrik, it’s safe to take it as read that an opinion expressed on forums such as this is in no way categorical and just because "IMHO" dosn’t follow the end of every statement does not infer that poster is speaking for the entire human race. Taking people to task over their enthusisasm for a specific movie (particularly this one which is widely regarded as one of the better revisionist vampire flicks by most who have seen it) is a little futile and pointless unless your opinion is solicited in the context of a review forum/thread for instance.
Whatever the movie (even Citizen Kane has it’s detractors), we can all pull a negative review from some web-geek but it’s not always necessary or appropriate and given your bored/smug smilie sign off, it does not translate well in the written form - something you may want to bear in mind when phrasing other comments.
Clutching at straws a little with the "invoking the deity" remark aren’t you? I have to say I’ve noticed a lot of your posts taking this slightly disaffected superiority angle and I gotta tell you: it’s not a good posting style.
IMHO, of course.
