Great to hear that they have put there differances behind them - for a wee while - and that the classic Floyd line up played together today at the funeral for their long term manager Steve O'Rourke.

Sad circumstances but maybe a wee sign that they could make up.

Please.

Probably just someone they sent along as a surrogate band!

I didn't know that Steve had died.

Yes it would be great if they could really make up their differences but I guess that it would be too much to ask.

Roger has already made peace with Nick and it was great to see them perform together 18 months ago at Wembley, but as for Richard and David, well that's another matter.

I take a more cynical view. As we have seen with the Sex Pistols, and that "new" Beatles track "discovered" in the mid-90s (etc, etc), it is amazing how the need to generate fresh revenue enables musicians to bury all hatchets/renege on earlier "we will never play together again" pledges. As far as the Floyd are concerned, how much longer can they continue to repackage and rerelease the same music, the same albums, the same tracks?

From http://www.rogerwatersonline.com :

It now appears early reports that Roger joined Dave, Nick and Rick to perform 2 songs at Steve O' Rourkes funeral were premature. Despite this news coming from a very reliable source I think the sheer scale of the event blurred our usual prudent judgment. To clear things up Roger did not perform with the members of Pink Floyd. Pink Floyd did however play 2 songs at the funeral as previously stated.
