Having got my digitheatre DTS back from Videologic after having it's DTS board replaced it now appears totally dead. What happened was that over the last 2 weeks, the system wouldn't switch on out of standby and needed to by switched off (back of the sub) and on again. Today the same thing happened, but when I switched the sub back on the red standby light didn't come back on. I've disconnected every thing except the centre speaker/control, but I can't get any signs of life from it at all...and yes: I have checked the fuse.

Can't help you with the problem, I'm afraid but mine's due to go back to them shortly and I wondered what the turnaround's like as I don't want to be surround-less for too long !! Particularly with TTT:EE due soon and Pirates of the Caribbean out soon too, plus my daughter will miss her Finding Nemo and Lion King fixes !!:)

I hate to differ, but I sent my digitheatre DTS to have the dts board replaced in the last week of September and didn't get it back for at least 4 weeks.

I'll be ringing them and giving them an earful - cos I'm not paying to ship it down to Heartford twice in as many months.

Just tried ringing the helpline - they reckong if I leave a message, they'll get back to me within an hour: could be interesting at this time of night.

Don't get me wrong - I've had loads of VL products (3 graphics cards, 2 soundcards) and will probably get their dab tuners above any other company.

Got the sub back today (again) - seems they've sent me a brnad new one, but the damn unit still won't turn on - seems the problem was in the centre speaker/cable - you'd have thought they'd have told me to send that back aswell.

Now I'm going to have a fight to get through to them again to moan. Can't believe this is taking so long from the initial problem in September...

That's too bad Kiran, it was just that they were top notch in my experience and I'd only ever read similar beaming reports from other about them. Guess every company can produce bad experiences though, just have to hope not too many of them...

Well, lots has been going on. I'll start at the start:

I bought a digitheatre DTS off eBay for £120
It had the DTS dropout fault, so I rang Pure Digital and blagged a repair.
The repiared sub came back but every now and again it would need to be switched off and on at the mains. Then one day it wouldn't turn on.
Pure Digital picked up the sub and replaced it a few weeks later as it had an "amp channel fault"
Excitidly, I plugged it back together switched the power on and...nothing - it was still dead.
They then sent me a replacement centre speaker which turned out to be the wrong colour (not that I minded that).
Fianally the unit turned on. I thought everything was alright, but no...Whilst watching FOTR:EE, the DTS track dropped every few minutes - the "new" amp they'd sent me had the original fault :brickwall :brickwall
They then told me they were dispatching another new amp. Received it today and it turns out they've sent me a Digitheatre Platinum sub and centre speaker (plus all the extras like remote, speaker brackets) - so I've now got a Digitheatre Platinum (albeit with black satallite speakers).

 to Pure Digital, they may be inept, but they'll keep pluggin away till they sort the problem.

Hang on - you bought it from Ebay (secondhand?) and have the balls to slag off Videologic's CS..

Did you have to pay for these repairs?

I had to pay £12 to send the sub down to Hertfordshire the first time. You have to laugh at the fact that they managed to replace an fully working sub/amp with a "new one" that had the original fault. They also manage to send the newest speakers to my uni address even tho I told them to send it to my home address; they never ever replied to my emails and trying to get through to their CS was a joke unless you ring during 10-12 and 2-5 and I'm working at these times. Left numerous messages on their answering machine and was promied they'd call back "within one day", but didn't.
I've only had a working system (but with DTS fault) for 4 weeks since September 20th as their claims of "it should take 10 days" proved fase as the weeks rolled by. I'm not overly bothered, but it was so frustrating listening to all my stuff through built in monitor speakers...
