Sevilla 2 - 0 Real Madrid

First goal - Real centre back heads a cross into the backside of another defender and it goes in. 1-0

wish I had Sky:confused:

Do Real have a full strength side out?

They playing Beckham in the center?

It's now 3-0 to Sevilla.

Yup full strength Real side, except for a young Centre Back. Becks is playing, missed the team sheet so not sure of his positiion, has looked like the centre.

HA HA

The commentators just said that apparently Quieroz said in the paper this morning that Real didn't need a defence (they must have a couple of defenders out) - how wrong was he!

Zidane, Becks, Guti, Figo, Raul, Ronaldo, Casilas(sp?), Raul Bravo, Ruben, Helgeura, Pavon are all in the team.

Guess who missed the first 24 minutes :brickwall

They will be crying for a new coach if Madrid go onto loose this.

4-0 now

This is a demolition! Me thinks Madrid will be looking for a defender in January.

I put money on Seville.

madstu - you don't have digital cable/satellite???

If you want to see a game where the result isn't certain then Roma vs Lazio (Rome derby) is live on British Eurosport.

Apparently the ref booked 10 players in his last game. He's already booked 5 in this. Should be some reds later in the game to mix it up.

Madrid have switched all of their defenders around now so no-one is playing where they were at the start, just to try and confuse them even more.

Oooo 3 mins stoppage time, could be more goals!

Not quite... I remember watching Real 1 - 5 Mallorca last season. They won the league then.

No, you're not reading that correctly... ;)

<s>That was a cup match though.</s> Now Sociedad-Madrid would have been a better point of reference. ;)

I'm just making that up...

Good to see Seville beating them, I still get emails from Seville & Real Betis supporters wanting to come to Glasgow after we partied there in May :)

Well it gets very bizarre.

Guti off for a stupid kick at a Sevilla player, should have been a straight red not a second yellow.

Then a Sevilla player gets sent off for apparently standing there and not getting involved with the referee when everyone else was piling in. Most bizarre.

Still 4-1 and 86 mins gone. 6 yellows and one red PER TEAM!

Well it's finished.

:):):):) Sevilla 4 - 1 Real Madrid :(

Unbelievably the ref managed to spoil the second half of what could have been a fantastic battle.

I have never before seen a game with 15 Yellow cards and 2 Red cards. Literally every foul has lead to a booking. Even not fouling anyone earnt one player a card.

Epilogue: Madrid need a defender. Sorry, I mean, defence.

Chances are Chelsea will nick any of Real Madrid's defensive transfer targets in January... :D

What a game, 5 goals and 15 yellow and 2 red cards by a ref in only his 4th top flight game. Was their anyone who didn't get booked, he even took the name of a sub who was on the bench and one of the coaches. I blame the fact that Spanish referee's are appointed by a computer !

Yep Nujol its seems crazy but it is true, that is why quite often you will gets refs like tonight who has only done four previous games and yet he gets a game involving a top team. This never happens in the UK when are new refs are kept away from the top clubs for a good few seasons.

Sevilla made me my money back that I lost on Man City today.

I wouldn't touch Real with a bargepole this year with the defence in the shape it's in. I've got a fair bit on Valencia to win La Liga this year. And there's not a chance they'll win the Champions League IMO.

*Prepares to eat words*

I still think that Chelsea will win every competition they are entered in this season.

But I hope that we can win lots of trophies :)

Was it me or did one of Real's players (the young centre half) cry after he was subbed early on?

Alan. b
10-11-2003, 17:35
Yep, I think you can safely say he was not very happy with the decision.

I wouldn't worry that much though if i was him, Real don't have many other players!

LOL at Real, once they meet a decent team in the Champions league they'll be going home in no time.

Was the same last season but it wasn't until the semis that they met a half-decent team.

They have a better chance of meeting a decent team in second round when it's knockout, they're defence is really poor, getting rid of Hierro and Makelee
didn't help
