Has anyone seen this absolute turkey of a movie? One thing about it though is it implied that BOTH Kevin Costner and Kurt Russel are the lost sons of Elvis?

Have to disagree, I quite liked it. Great gun battle at the end and Courtney Cox looks okay :D in it.

Agreed, Courtney Cox looks great in it, but the film was a complete mess, what had the two fighting robot scorpions got to do with anything and the western-style duel that Kevin Costner has with the cop after he gets pulled over. Absolutely mad.

Totally crap movie bar the sequences in the casino and at the end plus Courteney Cox looks absolutely amazing in it - best she has ever looked IMO!!

OK, great cast - great location - Courtney Cox's ass. I think most people paid a tenner for this film (*********/Box Office) and it isn't that bad. Granted some of it was just dribble. :p

Saw this review of the movie in Widescreen Review (http://www.widescreenreview.com/); the magazine stated "...some people found this movie clever & funny, others violent & cruel..."

Can't go wrong I thought.

Thoroughly enjoyed it, I'd describe it as clever, funny & violent, but not cruel. If nothing else it relegates John Woo to an also ran. It's always nice to see that little runt Christian Slater get blow away so early too.

Highly recommended

John Woo movies blow away 3000 MTG even MI:2 is far better than it - but that doesn't have Courteney in it!!

"It's always nice to see that little runt Christian Slater get blow away so early too. "

Couldn't you at least have put a spoiler warning in there m8ey? Glad i've already seen the film! :)

That's what 'poss spoiler' meant

Don't know how to increase size of font in subject box.

MI2 better than 3000 2 GL?

I rather liked it; it's overlong, yes, but it's surprisingly witty in places and Costner's great fun as the villain, complete with a great scene set to 'My Way'.

It's a pretty good film, certainly the best Messers Costner and Russell have been in for a VERY long time!

p.s Am I right in thinking it still hasn't been released at UK cinemas?
or did I blink and miss it!

Even IMDB has no info on the UK release date nor the BBFC site. Can only think it may not get released in the UK?

I paid £9.99 from ********* and I really enjoyed it. It was a little overlong but Courtney looks aaaaaaamazing in it which really supprised me. It has a great soundtrack and some really wicked shoutouts.

It's not an amazing movie, but it's interesting and enjoyable enough to hold onto.

You kidding? It's one of the best of the year! Great fun and Costner is exquisitly vicious and awesome, especially with a machine gun at the end firing away at everything. Damn it's fantastic. Very nice soundtrack too and the scorpion intro is very fitting.

I haven't seen it but the general opinion is that is nowhere near as bad as critics made it out to be. I've ordered the R4 due in a few weeks, for around tenner and more extras than the R1 you can't argue
