Sorry if we have been through this already, but i couldn't find anything through the search function.
Can anyone confirm or deny the 4-disc set available through dvdzone2 has all of the extras of the UK R2 release of both films later this month??

i hadn't heard that the UE version of Total Recall was being released in the UK - at least not in the immediate future
i was gonna wait and see cos the company doing the 2 French UE is the same company releasing the T2: UE for the UK but i decided not to bother and ordered the French version (already have R1 T2: UE)
btw - just noticed the French release has slipped another week to the 17th :(

Weird, my double box of both movies shipped on Monday from amazon.fr. Wonder why they’d delay the single release?
I have the 4 disc set and I can assure you: It's wonderful. Got mine with a 50ff voucher from these forums! The 4 disc set comes in a huge pacage with Arnie in the centre on his motorbike - WITH HIS EYE FLASHING! I don't know how it compares to other versions in terms of extras though...

sounds cool - what are the individual cases like, are they proper tins like the Akira R1 SE? (it would be great if you could put up some pics if possible)
i think the only thing missing on R2 versions of T2: UE is the loss of the seamless branching and that all other extras are retained (the UK R2 at least - i would expect the French R2 to be the same as it is released by the same company so they'll no doubt have access to all the same material)

The whole thing comes packaged in a wraparound perspex case, screeprinted onto which is the Arnie T2 pic. The ultra cool/cheesy bit is that a la the theatrical art, his right eye flashes on and off via a tiny bulb nestling in the foam case inside the perspex holder! Guys, this is the coolest thing to have on display and is guaranteed to either make all your friends totally jealous or have them convinced you are the saddest person on the planet. I think they could have made the foam "tray" on which the cases sit a little sturdier but it’s a minor thing unless you are going to be watching them every other day in which case you’ll want to keep the individual cases seperate from the main one. The tins are slim and of good quality although not up to the same level as the Akira tin and this time the tin is just there to hold a regular plastic Amaray style case, like the HKL Game of Death for Total Recall and one unlike any I’ve ever seen for T2 where the first disc sits on the same hub atop the second disc! No inserts either :(
I’ll try and post scans if I get the time - overall though an excellent package for the price: just don’t expect it to impress your new girlfriend :D
Check out DVDFR to see if it has DTS. I can't check as it's a Christmas prezzie and I can't look 'till then!:(

mmmmm.... I'm starting to have second thoughts about buying this as nowhere on any french website it says that there's the DTS soundtrack on T2
It's a 5 Disc box set!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! T2 is on 3 discs!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1 for the Theatrical cut - one for the Special Edition and (Ultimate) deleted scenes - and one for extras!!!!!!!!!!!!! IE: Better than the UK - get it now!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:D :D :D :D :D

Is the Total Recall set any differnet to the US spec.ed?I know the French one is on 2 discs.

Total Recall: UE is far better than the US SE... Better pacaging + transfer + more extras (I think - from what I have read in reviews).

I picked one up in Brussels today, and mine is a 5 disc set... is it special, or is this just all single sided discs or something?
I picked one up in Brussels today, and mine is a 5 disc set... is it special, or is this just all single sided discs or something? Nope, mine is too. T2 comes on 3 discs... WOOHOO! It means there is no seamless branching but you still get two versions of the film... mmmmmmm.......:D
PS - Unfortuneately you don't get the Ultimate edition version of the film, just the deleted scenes separately.:mad:
