Jazz- the series on DVD...

I glimpsed this on sale today- couldn't buy it as this month has been a bit of a bumper one as far as DVDs are concerned. I was wondering if the DVD is any cop, as the series was fantastic!

If you're talking about the US DVD edition, you'll doubtless be delighted to know that it contains the <U>entire</U> series - not the truncated-by-a-third version that BBC2 showed!

I didn't even know that! The fact is that the BBC played around with the scheduling so much throughout the series, that I missed a fair chunk of it anyway!

How many hours was the US version, as looking at the UK package, it seems like around 10 parts, at 19 hours (or thereabouts...)?

That's about right - BBC2 cut it to twelve hours.
