Miyazaki 3 pack

Guys,

I've seen loads of posts on the subject of Spirited Away and the red tint issue.

I'm coming to the conclusion that it's not that noticeable so am thinking of plumping for this 3 pack from Amazon (comes to about 38 quid!) ...

Does anyone know if the movies are anamorphic or in 4:3 format - Amazon don't say on there web site. Also, for a Miyazaki novice would you say these three are as good a start as any?

Yeah the R1 DVDs should be fine, they're all anamorphic and OAR plus the US disc doesn't have as much of a red tint as the other releases at least. (Not that the tint would ruin your enjoyment at all.)

You may want to check out some of the R1 etailers in the suppliers forums for alternative places to Amazon as they're like a red rag to a bull when it comes to customs. If you are unlucky & customs see your Amazon package you'll be paying out a hefty VAT & PO charge on top of Amazon's price for the DVDs.

I know DVDsoon list this on site for £36 delivered (under Miyazaki Gift Set) and they are Customs Friendly so no worries about that. Only problem is that the set is On Order there so you can expect to wait a while for them to come in stock.
