Just finished watching Wall Street (R2) yesterday. The transfer was just about acceptable (although there were a lot of white speckles on the print in certain scenes). However, the sound was very uneven. I'm not talking about a lack of surround sound or anything like that (as I was only watching the film using my TVs normal stereo speakers). It's difficult to describe what I mean, but a good example is during Daryl Hannah's final scene where she breaks up with Charlie Sheen. For a few seconds during her dialogue, her voice sounds distinctly different - it's still definitely Daryl Hannah's voice but it sounds like it was dubbed in later or something.
Has anybody else noticed this or do I just have a faulty disc?
This brings me nicely onto a related topic. Wall Street's sound isn't very impressive. Last month I watched Platoon (R2) and noticed that the sound on that wasn't very impressive either. Is it just coincidence that these are both Oliver Stone films or is the sound ****** on all of Stone's older films?
