Proline DVD 1050 - Hack needed

Hi there, old man has just bought one of these cheapo Comet jobs for his bedroom and it's only R2 out of the box. I've searched in the usual places for a handset hack but no joy so far. Tried the Proline 1000 and 2000 hacks but to no avail.

Does anyone have this unit or know of a hack?

Wozwebs if your still searching try any of the recent Apex dvd hacks as they make this player for Comet etc.....

The code below is for a Cyberhome CH-DVD 402, when used with the CH-402 it displays a hidden menu which allows the region to be changed. But with the 1050 it seems to display the hidden menu (firmware versions) but not allow the region to be changed. The menu system is very similair to the Cyberhome's, so i'm guessing there may be some potential there.......


1.) Open cd tray
2.) press the following keys to change the region code:
'Setup'
'1'
'3'
'6'
'9'
followed by pressing 'left' 3 times and 'right' 1 time
3.) Choose the new menu point 'version'
4.) Change the 'region code' to 0

Maybe try some other Cyberhome models.
