View Full Version : Let Sleeping Corpses Lie
Personally, I thought it was a diverting enough film, but not particularly memorable. Most people seem to love it, though, so you might also.
The Anchor Bay version has a good transfer, but few extras. It was available in a limited edition tin (quite expensive now), or a standard version. I don't think there's any difference between the two disks, just the extra paraphernalia like a 'toe tag' etc. Bit of a gimmick, really.
Worth watching if you can pick it up cheaply, IMO.
See here (http://www.dvdtimes.co.uk/reviews/other/sleepingcorpses.html) for Michael Brooke's review, or here (http://www.dvdmoviecentral.com/ReviewsText/let_sleeping_corpses_lie.htm) for a differing view :).

If you are zombie it's worth watching. But the film is et in Manchester and the accents are unbearable at times.I'm not having a go at people from Manchester it's just that the director has decided to throw in every British accent irish, scottish and they are so exaggerated.
Well, a controversial view to be sure, but it's probably my favourite zombie film.
What I love about it is the locations, which are incredibly familiar and you may never feel safe walking in the English countryside again; the soundtrack which is one of the most eerie and disturbing I have ever come across; the story is semi-plausible, more so when you watch it than it sounds on the page and the pacing is excellent. I found it bloody scary too.
I recommend it without hesitation.

This movie is great! It is one of those horror movies that is really nicely shot, has a good creepy atmosphere and plenty un-nerving moments, except the accents given to the actors renders the film absolutely Goddamn hilarious! Having only seen it once I was overwhelmed by the (unnentended) comic element, although after several veiwings I'm sure you will notice that it is slightly more classy than your average zombie flick.
An the DVD menus cracked me up! A gem. Buy it!
