'Scuse me if my question/problem seems daft, but I'm a newbie where surround sound/widescreen TVs are concerned...
Anyway, I've just bought a Tosh 32ZP38B and have been trying to set it up with my Wharfie DVD player to get Dolby Digital surround.
In the TV manual, there's a bit where it says that you can go into a menu where different options are listed for Dolby Digital sound that indicate which speaker options are supported.
Only thing is, it ain't there when I do it - well, only the option for Dolby Pro Logic or Digital using the front three speakers (testing with Saving Private Ryan DVD btw).
I've currently got my Wharfie set to "Digital" in audio and am connecting it to the TV with a digital co-ax cable. But I've manged to lose the instruction manual for the DVD player so don't know if I've got it set up right.
Can anyone help???
