View Full Version : Josh Rouse - 1972
Just managed to get a copy of this and it sounds really good.
Named after his birth year and the year of his Telecaster, 1972 sounds very mellow and was inspired by Josh's childhood memories.

He's yet to make a duff album. 'Home' and 'Under Cold Blue Stars' are also very good.
Also worth a look is 'Chester' - a collaboration with Lambchop's Kurt Wagner.

Great album indeed! I think he got the 70s thing just right. 1972 is the only J.R. album I have but I'm definitely going to look for Chester!

You can find Chester in most big record shops! I've been a massive fan since Under Cold Blue Stars and 1972 is very good, especially if you get a free DVD

Great album, if you like Josh Rouse you'll probably like Kevin Tihista (http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00005QTAY/ref=sr_aps_music_1_3/026-6850009-2323603).

i love it, definately gonna check out his back catelogue. Although i'll probably give Chester a miss, i thought Lambchop's Nixon was dreadful.

I'm with you Barney - Lambchop are a stunning band.
I've owned three Lambchop albums and ended up selling them all - they simply never did it for me
Oh well
