My parents are mad about this Mini series and Amazon seem to be saying that its spread across 6 discs.

Now this is what I have been waiting for, I remember as a kid my mum would sit me down and watch the first series, and boy did it change my life. This is the series that made me go out and by my first video recorder many years ago, and I got all the videos from the first and second series plus Queen which was the follow up.

This has made my day.:)

One of only a few GREAT tv mini-series. Not only is it highly entertaining but it is VERY educational, and quite harrowing to watch at times, I watched it again on vhs a couple of years ago. Hopefully they'll also release the follow-up that took the story through the 1900's to the then present day.

Perhaps we'll see Shogun next....
