OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
:notworthy :notworthy :notworthy :notworthy
Top A.O.R. band:thumbs:
I'll be buying this.
That simply rocks!!!! \0/
Are the live tracks the same as the Captured double album??
I would imagine it is a R1 release or possibly R0.
Sorry about being sketchy on the details right now but this info was posted by the guy who runs www.melodic.com & he has a lot of contacts in the business - I'll post more info when I know more.
The video for 'Chain Reaction' (the one with the band in dinner jackets) seems curiously absent, though, at this point in time as are clips for 'Rubicon', 'Lovin' You Is Easy', 'Too Late', & 'Why Can't This Night Go On Forever' as well as some promo video versions of the live tracks included above apparently :suspect:
The 1981 live stuff is from the Houston concert that has aired on BBC1 a couple of times & has also appeared the the 'Greatest Hits Live' cd.
I've seen the (excellent) 1986 live promos on various satellite music stations over the years - these were the days when the uber-talented sessioneer Randy Jackson (now one of the judges on the American Pop Idol  ) was playing bass & the equally masterful Mike Baird was filling in on drums.
The 'Seperate Ways' promo still sucks big time though

Mind you compared to ORION THE HUNTER's video for 'So You Ran' it's a classic - Barry Goudreau's attempts at 'acting' heartbroken & stressed out are simply priceless   :notworthy

Steve Perry interview here (http://www.fanasylum.com/steveperry/index.html) regarding the dvd!
Apparently plans are afoot for a number of 'live' dvds to surface on dvd sometime so I'll hold back for now to see if the full Houston Escape Tour & Raised On Radio Tour shows make an appearance.
EDIT:
There was also a concert shot for Japanese TV (in Japan) from the Frontiers Tour - very good it is too although I only ever saw it on a manky 10th generation copy :)
Has any supplier got this up for pre-order yet ?? (apart from Amazon)

Was that the vid titled "Frontiers And Beyond" on Media Home Entertainment?
I've got a copy somewhere, pretty sure it was an NTSC US original.

Nope - the Japanese concert was never commercially available (certainly to the West) as far as I know, hence the 'bootleg' form I viewed it in.
I take it nobody has got their copy yet??
