Hello!

I would hold on for a sec, cause there is a 2 Disc version being released in the UK soon, allegedly the same discs.

Regards

Daredevil :D

Play247 (http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=97135) currently have this disc listed, complete with the special features, for release on 29th October.

Hmmm, notice it's still from Tartan.
With their track record, are we gonna see the new & improved print?
Or is it the previously rather crap one with added extras?

Some many questions...wheres Mr Brooke when you need him?

I'm here, but I don't know!

It's always possible that Tartan have licensed the French version - after all, it works perfectly well in English (in fact, English speakers get a better deal), so all they'd need to do is replace the TF1 Video logo with theirs - but whether or not they have in fact done this remains to be seen.

Anyway, I'm not updating my review (see my sig) until I know for certain!

Any more info on Jimbo's question re a UK R2 release, anyone?

I've only just watched the Tartan version - but might trade up to the other one if it's out soon.

Tartan are putting out the new 2 discer - but nobody knows if it's their own shoddy transfer or if they've licensed the French print.

It's out next week though, so you'll find out soon.

Have a look at the details on Play here (http://www.play.com/play247.asp?page=title&r=R2&title=97135)

Well judging from the review here (http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/reviews/details.asp?Index=1695) I'd say it's the French print!

Doesn't the French version have DD5.1 sound?

 Something I thought I'd never see ;) I've written it down in my diary "Monday October the 22nd, Michael Brooke unsure of something, surely a sad day for mankind" ;)

Sorry MB, had to be done mate, chances like this come once a lifetime...

I'd still get the french one... its a really nice limited edition cardboaard case - looks really nice. Was very tempted to pick it up when I was in France recently.

Why not pay a little of your visa with your swith and then buy it with that from some where like www.fnac.com?

You would say that Mr Lets sell the house and buy every single release of the Evil Dead trilogy. :D
