Finally got around to watching the copy of The Limey I bought from HMV.co.uk two months back.

Mike Sutton's review gives the disc an almost perfect score for everything, so when I see the momentary pixellisation of Lesley Ann Warren's face at 52:30 (very near the end of Chapter 11) I have to wonder if I have a duff copy somehow. Has anyone else noticed this (solitary) glitch in their copies? On my disc, this glitch shows MOST times, but not EVERY time, I replay that segment. Does this mean it's more an issue with my player than the disc?

Another interesting quirk: has anyone noticed the semitone pitch-shift in the music between the 5.1 and 2.0 soundtracks (e.g. in The Seeker over the opening credits)? The weird thing is that it doesn't have any impact on the overall audio sync...

could be the point where the layer change occurs.

What player ?

Nah, it's about 30 or 60 seconds after the (not very subtle) layer change.

Currently my player is a Pioneer DV-344 (while my DV-535 is on a seemingly endless return to the shop...grrrr).

Well I only have this one glitch...and there are occasions when it isn't there, as I said...

Whaddaya think, is it my disc or my player? It's too late to return the disc...
:(

On a related topic ('cos bits of "Poor Cow" are used in "The Limey") can anyone think of a good reason why "A Kind Of Loving" is anamorphic while "Poor Cow" isn't, even though they're both 2001-era £10 releases in Momentum's Vintage Collection?
