but what was submitted? sometimes they will "pre cut" a movie prior to submission. so it passes without cuts. so make of it what you will.

it would be good to do a comparison with the us equivalent.

That's lucky as I'm sure the IMAX transfer process is already well underway. :D

All the Headbutts

they would pass it uncut, as an 18, it was warner brothers decision to accept the cuts to secure a 15 rating.

I think it should have been given a 12 uncut -- the vast majority of the violence is very comic book-like, and The Fellowship of the Ring (a PG) is gorier.

The censorship rules have relaxed lately. The LOTR films might have been a 15 when the Matrix came out years ago.

i was (and many people were) amazed that the first LOTR got a PG, but then why the hell did bad boys 2 get a 15?! that had 18 written all over it. the BBFC are a law unto themselves.

The theroy is though that it's a damn site easyier for a kid to copy headbutting someone rather than it is to fight an Orc.

Hmm you could argue that these 'cartoony boinks' were the cause of the censorship.

I.E. Matrix portraying that headbutts aren't too dangerous when in fact they are more brutal than most movies make out...

...so kids might think it's cool to boink their mates.

I dunno just a thought like. :dork:

I thought that the violence in Bad Boys 2 was pretty comical...I felt that a 15 rating was about right. And a lower rating means good news for 17 year olds who really REALLY wanna see the movie but struggle to sneak into 18 rated films. :ignore:

Mark my words, in a few years you're going to be getting 'Resovouir Dogs', 'Face Off' et all reclassified as "15", and they'll have finally given up contextualising cum shots and "18" will be for :norty:

Oh, and whenever anyone says cbleep, of course.

Who are you going to moan at once the BBFC start behaving like rational people? Go on, you all love it really!

That's insane. Surely it's just as easy to imitate a punch as it is a headbutt. Should David Beckham's headbutt in the Turkey match be censored?
